Faith Lawson: Greetings, everyone! Today, we have the pleasure of sitting down with the talented Jordan The Scientist, also known as Jordan The Producer. Jordan, it’s wonderful to have you here. Can you share a bit about your artistic journey as a music producer?
Jordan The Producer: Thanks for having me, Faith! My journey in music production has been a thrilling ride. Growing up, I drew immense inspiration from legendary artists like Quincy Jones, Dr. Dre, Gapp Band, Zapp Band, Roger, and The Temptations. Their unique styles ignited my passion for creating music that evokes emotions and tells stories through sound.
Faith Lawson: Your dedication is truly inspiring, Jordan. What drives your passion for music production, and what sets your compositions apart?
Jordan The Scientist: Music’s ability to connect people on a deeper level is what fuels my passion for production. I specialize in Hip-Hop and R&B compositions, and what sets my work apart is the meticulous attention to detail. Staying mostly original allows me to craft each piece with a distinctive signature sound that resonates with my listeners.
Faith Lawson: It’s evident that your authenticity shines through your music. You mentioned facing challenges that held you back. Can you share how you overcame them and continued to pursue your dreams?
Jordan The Producer: Indeed, it hasn’t been an easy road, Faith. I encountered setbacks, including facing secret hate and hidden agendas from certain individuals, and the 12-year sentence to the Indiana Department of Corrections disrupted my progress. However, I refused to let those challenges define me. Instead, I used them as motivation to strengthen my skills and develop unique styles that put me in my own lane.
Faith Lawson: Your resilience is truly remarkable, Jordan. Tell us more about these styles you’ve developed and how they distinguish you as a producer.
Jordan: Thank you, Faith. My styles are a fusion of diverse influences, but I always add my creative twist to them. Each composition is a blend of intricate elements that captivate the audience, telling stories and evoking emotions. I believe in taking listeners on a musical journey they won’t forget.
Faith: Your passion for storytelling through music is evident in your work. Now, let’s talk about your initiatives to empower black communities through your news website and radio station. How did these ideas come about, and what do you hope to achieve with them?
Jordan: Great question, Faith. As an artist, I believe in using my platform for positive change. The idea for the news website came from the desire to contribute to the healing of our black communities. Through unbiased reporting and informative content, we aim to raise awareness about important issues and foster unity within our communities.
Regarding the radio station, I wanted to create a space for diverse voices and music, celebrating the richness of black culture and providing an opportunity for up-and-coming artists to showcase their talent.
Faith: Your dedication to creating positive change is commendable, Jordan. Lastly, what are your aspirations for the future, both as an artist and an advocate for change?
Jordan: Thank you, Faith. As an artist, my ultimate aspiration is to become the best producer of the current times. I’m committed to continuous growth, breaking barriers, and pushing the boundaries of my music production.
As an advocate for change, I aim to amplify marginalized voices, promote unity, and create spaces for healing within our communities through my music and media initiatives. I believe that by empowering each other, we can build a better future for all.
