The US Vice President, Kamala Harris, sparked controversy when she suggested that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) should be based on black communities and women.
Harris’s proposal was met with criticism from some who said she was being racist.
“I think we should consider that maybe FEMA should be based on where communities are most vulnerable and where women are most vulnerable,” Harris said in an interview with The Root. “It may not be that they need to have a headquarters in Washington, D.C., it might be more in the middle of the country or more on the coast.”
“I think it’s time to take a look at what is going to best serve the interests of our country and those people who are most vulnerable,” Harris added. “We know that women are disproportionately affected by disasters.”

Harris suggested in an interview with Essence Vice News and attributed it to “oppressive structures…built into society, like where disaster aid is needed.” In doing so, she continued to reaffirm her ongoing stance on equity for Black women domestically and globally as both a politician and activist.
just say it. Poor white people are screwed and Kamala Harris is gloating about it!!! The same way she gloated about sending thousands of black men to prison over drug related misdemeanors

This isn’t the first time Vice President Kamala Harris has been under the microscope. Kamala Harris was Exposed for sending other blacks to prison for, well let’s just say “Being Black” Despite claiming that she feels we need to fight for equality. Kamala, what exactly is it you call equality? oppressing black men and saying look i’m trying to help. Wow.
